Lazy Days

I love this image of my sister curled up in the grass, so I decided to draw it. Her baby posture is in complete contrast with her age and body shape.

Sadness

I recently began a project on sadness and didn't finish it, but liked a few of the outcomes, particularly the top print.

Face Distortion

Last year I did an art project on self image, which focused on exaggerating prominent facial features. These are a few examples of my work on it. Probably not the sort of thing you'd want to wake up to in the morning, but an interesting topic nonetheless, that taught me a lot about use of colour.

JARS

I've had these jars on the windowsill for ages. They used to have fabric dye in them, and some of the leftover dye has plasticised on the glass. In summer the light shines through them in a really beautiful way.

my imagination.

There are those moments, when you close your eyes. Flickers of magic- the sun seeping through the stretched skin of your eyelids. Peter Pan claimed they were glimpses of Neverland; that you can hear the tinkling of the water in the mermaids pool and the sound of Lost Boys shutting their doors.
Sometimes I try and distinguish shapes out of the swirling orangey black colours. Try to believe. Or, if not believe, make magic out of boring reality.
